Jobs is a novel Facebook experience integrated into the Commerce product visual system. We collaborated with the Jobs design team to establish a unified visual system for the Jobs product, seamlessly adapting the existing Commerce primary visual system to accommodate the experience's nuances and product differentiation. Additionally, we pinpointed key experience touch points that would benefit from a more branded experience.

Product positioning
The product experience included two major tracts: the job seeker and the job creator. In this initial phase, our target audience is working non-professionals and students as they are the largest and most underserved segment with acute needs. This strategy would lean heavily on intentionally designing a platform that provides career guidance and exploration for non-professionals, often individuals who do not have robust professional networks and are not as active on career sites. Job creators would also benefit from this model from free distribution, lower advertisement costs, and convenience of reach for potential candidates.
Visual strategy
The visual strategy embraced a richer color palette and adopted more relatable and human-centric photography guidelines.
The seeker experience stood out as a branded journey, placing emphasis on people, community, networking, and support. This was achieved through the use of dynamic colors and people-centered visuals, aiming for a curated and dynamic yet simple and functional feel. In contrast, the creator experience took a more utilitarian approach, prioritizing professionalism and reliability. This translated into a pared-down color palette and visuals that were straightforward and purposefully deliberate.
